Welcome to my blog. I’ve been a baseball card fan and collector since I bought my first Topps pack at a convenience store back in 1979. Every chance I got I bought another pack, hoping to get another Red Sox player or one of those Sporting News Ty Cobb cards. I really started going nuts buying cards in 1983. Those Veteran Cards were amazing! Then my buddies and I came across a baseball card and coin collecting shop a few miles from our homes. We started making pilgrimages by bicycle nearly every weekend to blow whatever small cash we had accumulated by doing chores for our parents or from delivering newspapers. Collecting had become an obsession — an expensive obsession!
